Advanced Microscopy Laboratory
The FCFRP-USP, aiming to provide research infrastructure to different groups of the School, Campus and even outside the USP, has organized its "facilities" research in multi-user laboratories with specialized technical support.
The Advanced Microscopy Laboratory aims to bring together microscopic large size and other equipment for image analysis for research with cells, tissues and synthetic materials. The aim is to support research in basic and technological areas such as pharmacology, cell biology, toxicology, nanotechnology, among others.
It currently has one Confocal Microscope and is prepared to accommodate electron microscopes, atomic force microscope, etc., thus expanding the scope of activities of the Laboratory.
Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope

Description: Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope equipped with 405, 638, 488 and 552 nm excitation lasers and 63, 40, 20 and 10 times high quality oil immersion objectives.
Application: Biomedical research and surface analysis in material science applications, offering unprecedented precision in three-dimensional imaging and exact examination of sub cellular structures and dynamic processes, based on a modular concept that enables flexible upgrading and integration of innovative technology.
