The Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at FCFRP (PPGCF-RP) is recognized for its excellence, with a CAPES grade of 7. PPGCF-RP aims to train diverse and qualified human resources capable of working in a wide range of sectors, including Higher Education and Research Institutions, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industries, government regulatory agencies, hospitals, and other fields related to Pharmacy.

The program’s transdisciplinary is grounded in the researchers’ excellent and highly diversified scientific background. Postgraduate students of Master’s and Ph.D. undergo comprehensive training in teaching and research across various fields of Pharmaceutical Sciences. As such, the program encompasses all stages of drug and cosmetic production, from the synthesis and chemical, physical, and biological evaluation of natural, synthetic, and biotechnological products to the study of macromolecular structural properties and fundamental processes in physical chemistry. Additionally, it covers pharmaceutical process development, quality control, efficacy assessment of drugs and cosmetics, as well as the field of Pharmaceutical Care and Clinical Pharmacy. To achieve this, the program is structured into two concentration areas:
– Drug and Cosmetics
– Natural and Synthetic Products

The PPGCF-RP aims to foster the development of critical-reflexive thinking among its students, promoting an understanding of research methods and ethical principles in both professional and societal contexts. Additionally, it empowers its postgraduates to conduct innovative research, engage in management activities, and contribute to the national endeavor towards autonomy in drug and medication development.
