The Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Nanobiotechnology Group (GNanoBio): is dedicated to innovative research in nanotechnology aimed at enhancing the therapeutic potential of drugs and natural products. Our focus centers on the development, optimization, and characterization of biodegradable polymeric and lipid nanoparticles for encapsulating or co-encapsulating molecules with anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiviral properties. We aim to comprehend the mechanisms of action of both free and nanoencapsulated natural and synthetic products through in vitro and alternative biological assays. Additionally, our group is involved in the development of nanostructured natural cosmetic formulations and the preparation and characterization of metallic nanoparticles with potential applications in the pharmaceutical field.
